In my first few years out of college, I worked as a correspondent for the sports department of The Enterprise, an afternoon daily newspaper that covered the Metropolitan Boston South area.  I later worked as a news and sports freelancer for The Patriot Ledger, another Metropolitan Boston South afternoon daily.

I am the co-author pf Street Soldier: My Life as an Enforcer for Whitey Bulger and the Boston Irish Mob (Steerforth Press. 2003), the memoir of Edward J. MacKenzie, Jr. – known on the streets as “Eddie Mac.”  Street Soldier received critical positive reviews from the New York Times, Washington Post, and Library Journal.

I also collaborated on the writing and editing of two acclaimed books: Fighting Back: The Chris Nilan Story (HarperCollins Canada/Triumph Books, 2013), the memoir of former NHL enforcer Chris “Knuckles” Nilan; and with Olympic gold medalist and “Miracle on Ice” goaltender Jim Craig and New York Times bestselling author Don Yaeger on Gold Medal Strategies: Business Lessons From America’s Miracle Team (John Wiley & Sons, 2011).  (On request, I am happy to put people in touch with Chris Nilan, Jim Craig, and Don Yaeger for the purposes of inquiring about the quality of my writing and editing, and the experience of working with me on the projects.)

I graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in English.  I enjoy reading, writing, and running.
